Claude

Claude prompt optimizer for clearer Anthropic chats.

RefineIQ is a privacy-first Chrome extension that rewrites rough AI prompts into structured, detailed prompts for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, and any website text box. All processing happens locally in your browser, with no accounts and no RefineIQ servers.

This page is for people searching a Claude prompt optimizer — RefineIQ rewrites the messy draft you already typed in Claude into a clearer prompt, then you send it. Private by default. No account.

Why Claude prompts still need a rewriter

Claude is strong when the ask is clear. Half-formed prompts — buried questions, missing format, mixed goals — waste a turn. A dedicated prompt rewriting tool fixes the input before you hit send, so you spend fewer messages cleaning up.

How it works in the composer

  1. Select your rough prompt in Claude (or focus the field).
  2. Click the Refine pill or press Alt+Shift+R.
  3. Review the rewrite, Replace in place, then send.

Privacy differentiator

  • On-device by default — local AI prompt optimizer; offline after one model download.
  • No RefineIQ server — nothing to phone home to.
  • Works everywhereClaude plus Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, and any text box.

FAQ

Does RefineIQ work with Claude?

Yes. Select text in the Claude composer (claude.ai) and use the Refine pill or Alt+Shift+R. Purpose-built support covers Claude; it also works in any other text box.

Does RefineIQ send my prompts to a server?

Not in the default on-device mode. Inference runs in your browser via WebGPU (WASM fallback). There is no RefineIQ backend. Optional BYOK cloud mode sends text only to the provider you choose with your own key.

Is this a Claude prompt generator?

No — it's a prompt optimizer / rewriter. You bring the rough draft; RefineIQ clarifies structure and wording while preserving your intent. For a blank start, dictate a Voice Draft then refine.

Is it free?

Yes. Free forever for core on-device refining — no subscription required.
